Shrimp meal is a good ingredient for aquaculture feed because of its high crude protein content and digestibility. It is rich in lysine and Methionine, highly unsaturated fatty acids, and is a good source of Choline, an essential nutrient.

The calcium content depends on the number of shells in the product. It is not only high in protein but also low in calories, carbs, and fat. We sustainably upcycle approximately 70% of total shrimp landings that would otherwise become waste.

A portion of the crude protein is in the form of Chitin. Using shrimp meal as a feedstuff is a key part of waste management in the shrimp industry.
